Marie's Little Red School House Blog Launched!

It's a year later, but here I am finally ready to launch my website for teachers.  If you have found your way here, it is because of an invite from me to you to become part of something great! Here is where teachers of all kinds may come and share and find ideas for your students. Please refer to the previous blog for instructions on how you can immediately become a part of this endeavor and receive a free book in the process.  Read how you can submit a plan for our recent LESSON PLAN ROUND UP, Winter Holidays and ExplorationsDEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION IS  DECEMBER 8, 2014. FEBRUARY 27, 2015 DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED AS WE WORK TO DRAW FOLLOWERS.

The first LESSON LINE UP challenge is to share lesson plans or activities that you do with your class before, during or after the winter holidays. Because we are considerate of the various multicultural activities that occur at this time of the year, the lesson plans could address all or one of the many holidays, such as Christmas, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Ramadan, Diwali etc. The lesson plans may concentrate on winter themes such as snowmen, snowflakes, sledding etc. Lessons may be as simple as making a paper ornament/picture, or as complicated as a unit on a culture and their celebrations of a season. Please try to connect your lesson with the Common Core Standards if you can.

Before you leave, be sure to subscribe to this blog and follow Marie's Little Red School House on  Twitter, Facebook, Google, Pinterest, Linkin.
